The Trois-Saumons Golf Club is no exception to this tradition. During my first visit a few years ago, I was struck by this warm welcome, an impression that has been confirmed during subsequent visits.
Without minimizing the efforts of other urban golf clubs to receive their visitors well, it must be recognized that in the Quebec-Appalaches region (and elsewhere in the province), there is a unique warmth, politeness, pride, and joy in welcoming tourists. This is a quality that some clubs sometimes unintentionally overlook.
Stressed by the hectic pace of everyday life, frustrated by slow traffic, overwhelmed by the city's noise, or disheartened by your golf underperformance? You are ripe for a round or two at the Trois-Saumons Golf Club. Why not combine golf, cycling, and fishing?
Open to the public and fully irrigated, the course at the Trois-Saumons Golf Club is a par 72, stretching 6391 yards from the blue tees.
The course is relatively flat, making it ideal for those who prefer walking rather than using motorized carts, but it is dotted with several water hazards and sand traps. The front nine won't give you much respite with its par 5s on the fourth and ninth holes, and a "good" par 3 of 202 yards on the fifth hole.
The back nine will lead you to the most picturesque hole, the 14th, and then to the most interesting hole for long hitters, the 15th, a very long par 5 of 573 yards from the back tees.
